One Dead In 7-Car Crash On Route 9 In Freehold (Update)

One person died in a seven-car pileup on Route 9 Tuesday, Dec. 5 in Freehold, authorities said.

It happened at the intersection of Routes 9 and 33 around 10:30 a.m., a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Freehold Township Police Department are investigating.
